The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) stated a total of 685 casualties killed by Tropical Storm, Sendong, as of December 19, 2011, Monday,  in which Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City were the most affected areas in Mindanao.

In Cagayan de Oro City, approximately 19 evacuation centers has been opened for the victims who had their house destroyed by the typhoon while in Iligan City there were about  15 evacuation  areas as well.
